This edition of musikprotokoll is once again accompanied and documented by numerous broadcasts on Österreich 1. The show Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt features the Finnish-born, Vienna-based pianist Joonas Ahonen as a live guest – a musician who impresses with his tremendous versatility. On the one hand, he is a member of Klangforum Wien and hence a recognized specialist in contemporary music, while, on the other hand, he also performs with renowned orchestras around the world as a soloist and enjoys playing classical music on historical instruments. For musikprotokoll, Joonas Ahonen plays a concert with the Vienna RSO and its chief conductor, Marin Alsop, and also presents a new version of a piano concert by the German composer Philipp Maintz that was created specifically for this occasion. Philipp Maintz will also be a guest of Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt and talk about his working method, aesthetics, musical preferences, and many other things.
