Elisabeth Schimana
Since 1983, Elisabeth Schimana has been working as a composer, performer, and radio artist. She studied electroacoustic and experimental music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, computer music composition at the IEM Graz, and musicology and ethnology at the University of Vienna. In her work, she has been exploring space, body, and electronics for many years. She collaborates regularly with ORF Kunstradio, founded the IMA Institute for Media Archaeology, and conducts research in the fields of women, art, and technology. Schimana gives lectures and composition workshops worldwide.
