disarming II explores the relationship between humans, robotics, and the environment. A dancer, a flautist, and a liberated industrial robot meet at the same level in an open environment. The robotic arm, ReBel, learns new ways of moving through stereophonic hearing and resistance measurements. The dancer, Eva-Maria Kraft, puts herself in the robot’s shoes and tests a movement vocabulary based on acoustic and haptic perception. The recorder player, Gobi Drab, enriches and influences the whole with the tonal attunement of various instruments. A situation-dependent choreography of relationship, perception, resonance, and collapse beyond clear boundaries unfolds in the performance.
