Elisabeth Schimana's series Virus is a research trip into auditory perception, an exploration of cognitive processes in the millisecond range, a plea for the acoustic moment with utmost precision. The music uses live-generated electronic sounds as an audio score for acoustic instruments. Sounds are played to the musicians positioned around the room, which they interpret or imitate on their instruments simultaneously and as accurately as possible.
Virus #3.6.1 – Twilight Zones explores the question: Where are we now? In zones of dusk, of change, of twilight? Are we moving toward night or morning? The Black Page Orchestra traces these zones in a unique setting: the 13th-century Leechkirche, the oldest sacred structure in Graz.
