Thomas Grill

Thomas Grill (*1972, AUT) is a composer, performer and researcher in sound and its perception. He works in most varied fields of audible and trans-media art, ranging from interactive and net-based audiovisual installation and photography to instrumental composition and electro-acoustic group improvisation. His artistic focus lies on concept-oriented sound art, electro-instrumental improvisation and compositions for loudspeakers. Scientific research is pursued in the domain of machine learning and machine perception. He teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and leads the project of artistic research rotting sounds.
