There are instruments that we are accustomed to seeing for longer periods on their own on stage, the piano, of course, and perhaps the violin. But solo recitals with double bass or trumpet do not meet our expectations of listening to a concert. This evening brings both: Uli Fussenegger, double bass soloist from Klangforum Wien, taps into all the nuances of sound and technical possibilities offered by his instrument in a fragile but impressive manner.
