ARTikulationen is an international festival for artistic research that engages with aesthetic, social, and existential questions through an integrated — artistic and scientific — approach. Since 2016 artists and thinkers have been presenting their projects, most recent works, and results together with thinkers and PhD candidates. ARTikulationen is organized by the Artistic Doctoral School of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in cooperation with musikprotokoll. Critically Concerned? is the title of this year’s discussion round. Performers, composers, and thinkers dialogue with one another about their music practices and the question as to what extent they are able to express, reflect on, explore, and challenge interpersonal relations, independent of prevailing social conditions. The Artist Talk/Round Table “Critical Music” takes place in cooperation with the Festival for Artistic Research ARTikulationen of the KWDS/University of Music and Performing Arts.
