Peter Brandlmayr
Peter Brandlmayr, born in Bad Ischl in 1970, studied geology at the University of Innsbruck, followed by a course in photography at the Higher Federal Institute for Graphic Arts and Research in Vienna. In 1998, he founded the Institute for Science and Research (IWF) – an experiment straddling the boundaries between art and science, reality and fiction. In 2005, he obtained his PhD (Dr. phil.) from the University of Innsbruck. In 2013, he founded the Pegasus Institute for Pataphysics (PIP) and, in 2019, the Institute for Idleness and Contemplation (IMK). He has organised numerous exhibitions, installations, lectures and performances.
