Suha Sung

Suha Sung was born in South Korea in 1982 and studied violin with Valery Klimov in Saarbrücken and with Pieter Daniel in Essen. She began her composition studies with Günter Steinke in Essen in 2006, received a grant to study at the International Ensemble Modern Academy and continued her studies with Beat Furrer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. As a violinist and performer, she has played both as a soloist and with ensembles such as Ensemble Modern and Klangforum Wien. In her compositional work she uses different means of expression such as music, theatre, text, installation, and video.
