Teresa Carrasco was born in 1980 in Oviedo (Spain), where she received her first musical training. She studied digital arts and electro-acoustic composition with Gabriel Brnčić in Barcelona. From 2005 to 2007 Carrasco continued her education with a postgraduate course in media art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, as well as composition with Georg Friedrich Haas at the City of Basel Music Academy and with Erik Oña at the Electronic Studio Basel. She is currently teaching electronic music at the Freiburg University of Music and electro-acoustic music composition at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar. Her pieces have been played in different festivals and concert halls, including Cité de la Musique Paris, Queen Elisabeth Hall London, International Darmstadt Summer Course 2012, Northwestern University Chicago, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, University of Birmingham, ZKM Karlsruhe, ICST Zürich, SARC Belfast, CCCB Barcelona, and Círculo de Bellas Artes Madrid.
