Yongbing Dai is from Yueyang in Hunan Province, China and studied composition in the master's program at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He was under the tutelage of Jeppe Just Christensen, Simon Løffler, Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjærg, and Rune Glerup. He participated in a one-year study program in Lisbon, Portugal, where he studied composition with Luis Naon, Rut Schereiner and Michele Tadini, and  participated in the electronic music composition master's course of Kilian Schwoon's Master of Arts in Bremen, Germany. At the same time, Dai is pursuing a Ph.D. in electronic music composition at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in China, under the guidance of Professor Chen Qiangbin. His electronic music work "Two Worlds of the Monk" won first prize in composition group C at the first international UPISketch held in Rouen, France in 2022. In addition, Dai’s 3D electronic music work "Crazy Road" was selected for performance at the NYU Ircam forum in New York, USA.
