Weiwei Xu, born in Shanghai 1991, likes Manga-Anime culture, paper and ink. She studied composition, music theory and piano at the Middle School attached to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. Her music has been performed at music festivals and concerts in Singapore, Germany, Austria, Norway and Spain e.g. Leicht Über Linz, Here and now and anyplace else with Ensemble Schallfeld, Bergen International Festival, Ciclo de Música Contemporánea de Lugo with Vertixe Sonora Ensemble a.o. In 2020, Xu Weiwei won the 3rd price of the ACADEMIA MUSICA of Vienna International Composition Competition in Chamber Music, and she was finalist of the Franz Schubert International Composition Competition in Graz.
