Vocalforum Graz

Vocalforum Graz was founded in 1986 by Franz M. Herzog. It specialises not only in Early Baroque sacred and secular literature but also in the interpretation of contemporary music. This is reflected in its numerous world and Austrian premieres, including the world premieres of Ivan Eröd’s Third Symphony Øresund in 2013, which it performed jointly with the orchestra recreation Graz, or Ein weststeirischer Wasserfall by Georg Nussbaumer performed in 2014 at steirischer herbst. With its a cappella project Lumen Vocalforum Graz has wowed audiences at countless concerts since 2015 in collaboration with the light artist Marc Thomas Merz and the OchoReSotto team. Vocalforum has won prizes and accolades at various international choir competitions and produced several CDs. Its concert tours have taken the choir to various countries in Europe, the USA and South Africa.
