Ursula Wiegele was born in Klagenfurt in 1963 and started to play the piano when she was seven years old, taking up organ at the Carinthian State Conservatory later. Philosophical and theological studies in Austria and Italy, finished her studies in Innsbruck in 1988 with a thesis about the aesthetic theory of Th. W. Adorno. Training in creative writing and in teaching German as a foreign language and second language. She has been living as an “emigrant from Carinthia” in Graz since 1993 where she has worked as a freelance editor for 15 years. Conducts creative writing workshops and intergenerational projects, teaches German as a foreign and second language.
