The Upper Austrian composer Tina Geroldinger (born 2000) has been studying for a Master’s degree in Composition under Sarah Nemtsov at the Mozarteum in Salzburg since autumn 2024. Prior to this, she graduated with distinction from the Anton Bruckner Private University, having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Composition under Erland M. Freudenthaler, specialising in trumpet and ensemble conducting, as well as a degree in Art History and Philosophy. Her passion for her own musical creativity developed from improvising to arranging and eventually led her, at the age of 16, to a new challenge: composition. As a trumpeter, she performs with local brass bands, orchestral projects and ensembles of all kinds. Alongside her artistic work, she is developing the music education project ‘Komponieren probieren’ (Try Your Hand at Composing) together with the Trio Zallt.
