Tanja Elisa Glinsner (*1995) began taking classes in violin, piano and saxophone at an early age and studied violin and composition as a member of the Academy for the Support of Gifted Children at the Anton Bruckner Private University, Linz. She currently pursues her studies in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy, composition and orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Tanja Elisa Glinsner was awarded several prizes, for instance the First Austrian Female Composers Prize, the 3rd Prize of the Franz Josef Reinl Foundation and the 2021 Austrian State Grant for composition. She was also granted fellowships by the Czibulka Foundation and the Feiling Foundation. She has been commissioned to write new works by the Austrian National Bank (Ö1 Talentebörse), Festival 4020, ensemble xx. jahrhundert and Ensemble Reconsil, among others. Working on opera projects with renowned conductors like René Jacobs, Kent Nagano, Mariss Jansons and Constantinos Carydis she has been able to gain musical experience.
