Soyeon Park, born in Seoul in 1989, started to play the piano when she was only three and the violin when she was five. From 2009-14 she studied composition at the Ewha Womans University in South Korea. She continued her studies in Leipzig at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” and, since 2016, with Clemens Gadenstätter at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Her compositional work focuses, among other things, on the combination of acoustic and visual materials, in which she translates extra-musical material into the language of music.
