Sofia Zaiceva is a sound artist from Latvia who takes a unique approach to experimental electronic music rooted in an open-source ethos. She explores the relational qualities of acoustic environments through creative coding, spatial sound design, and improvisation, addressing issues such as digital obsession and media-shaped self-perception. Her most recent works include SHE HAS CANDY by CATPURSE (SØVN Records, 2025), hypergloss (Superpang, 2025), and aze (Riforma, 2024). She is active in the Baltic scene and has performed at venues including MeetFactory (CZ), Panke Culture (DE), and ZiMMT (Leipzig). She holds an MA in Music Technology from the Sibelius Academy (Helsinki); in 2024/2025, she was a SHAPE+ alumna.
