Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1965, he received his composition, conducting and repetiteur training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. After that he was the director of several youth symphony orchestras and collaborated with various major and independent theatres in Europe. In 1992 he founded ensemble on_line (since 2010, PHACE). He has been Associate Professor of Conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 2004. As a conductor and composer he collaborates with many orchestras and ensembles in Europe and Asia and his works are performed regularly at major festivals. Furthermore, he has conducted radio recordings and several CDs of twentieth-century compositions.
