Rudolf Terland Bjørneremis an Oslo-based guitarist mainly involved in improvisation and contemporary classical music, with an emphasis on open form compositions. He studied classical guitar at the Norwegian Academy of Music where he is currently participating in a master’s degree programme in music theory. Bjørnerem plays acoustic, electric and electro-acoustic guitar, utilizing the unique timbre of the guitar, expanding it with preparations and electronics/amplification, experimenting with combinations and transitions between acoustic and electric sounds, as well as with the physical placement of sound sources.
