Reinhold Schinwald lives and works in Vienna. He studied electrical and audio engineering and composition as well as music theory in Graz. Reinhold Schinwald has received grants and scholarships by the Austrian Federal Chancellery of the Arts, and the SKE-Fonds. He received numerous commissions and his compositions have been performed by various ensembles including the oenm, the ensemble SurPlus, the Trio Gahl-Huang-Stump, and the ensemble reconsil Vienna. Apart from his work as a composer Reinhold Schinwald regularly performs electroacoustic works and compositions using live electronics at numerous festivals and venues. In 2016 he founded büro lunaire together with Gina Mattiello.
