Passion, fire and a desire to create music that is at the cutting edge, transcending genre boundaries: with great curiosity, the soloists of PHACE and their artistic director Reinhard Fuchs take their audience on a journey into poetic worlds of sound. For many years, PHACE has been realising innovative concert formats, music theatre productions and cross-disciplinary projects involving dance, theatre, performance, electronics, video, installations and other art forms. Since 2012, the ensemble has presented its own concert series at the Wiener Konzerthaus and performs internationally with around 30 concerts a year. Guest appearances have taken PHACE to venues including the Festival d’Automne à Paris, the Donaueschingen Music Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Barbican Centre in London, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Wien Modern, the Vienna Festival, and numerous other renowned festivals and concert halls across Europe. PHACE is supported by the SKE Fund, the BMWKMS and the City of Vienna’s Department of Culture.
