Pablo Knupfer is an electroacoustic composer and experimental musician. His work lies at the intersection of multimedia concert formats, live electronics, algorithmic composition and spoken word poetry. Knupfer is fascinated by contrasts: hope and despair, stability and disorientation, destruction and renewal. In his work, sound becomes a vehicle for insight – abstract systems from physics, politics and society are not explained, but transformed into a sensory form. A central focus is on sound situations in which control and self-sustaining dynamics come into conflict: feedback, generative processes, self-organising systems.
