Otto Iivari (b. 1987 in Central Ostrobothnia, Finland) is a Finnish Master's student of electroacoustic composition in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He has been mainly studying under the guidance of Estonian composer/lecturer Malle Maltis and with Paolo Girol. Iivari's main focus has been the exploration of space and movement in the composition of sound-based music. In his compositions Iivari likes to magnify the properties of natural, recorded sound, providing a new perspective and appreciation to the vast spectrum of sounds that surround us.
