
Sound designer and composer Nick Acorne graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and FH Joanneum. He works as a composer, interactive designer, and performer, creating both compositions and installations across various musical genres. In his performances, he combines acoustic instruments with self-built sensor instruments and game controllers. He creates participatory concepts for solo performances such as Rubilovo, Remote Control, BUY,-, PAY, and IX KLA VIER E, composes theater music, and develops interactive concepts for theatrical productions. Acorne utilizes real-time score generation based on sensor data, sound analysis, and eye trackers. He works on interactive installations for museums, churches, and festivals and is a co-founder of Ninja Guru, Some Designers, the music project C.O.R.N!, as well as the audiovisual sensor duo Zhizhi Nini.
