Lisa Streich (*1985 in Sweden) studied Composition and Organ in Berlin, Stockholm, Salzburg, Paris, and Cologne. “Lisa Streich has her own voice,” says Alan Gilbert. “The musicians immediately recognized the quality of her music and found her work special.” (Elbphilharmonie Blog). Streich writes instrumental and vocal music and for her own motorised instruments. She has received commissions from the Lucerne Festival, the Berlin Philharmonics, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Choir, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Intercontemporain, and Shizuoka Concert Hall. Her music is played worldwide. Prizes and scholarships include orchestra prize by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Fund, the Ernst von Siemens composers prize and the Rome Prize Villa Massimo.
