Lin Liao, a Taiwanese conductor based in Germany, directs a repertoire ranging from the classical to the modern era with a keen sense of sound and a talent for dramaturgical interpretation. Her work is characterised by a great openness to new art forms and a wealth of experience with complex cross-disciplinary projects. In the field of symphonic music, Lin Liao has appeared as a guest conductor with, amongst others, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the SWR Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. She regularly conducts ensembles such as the Klangforum Wien, the Asko|Schönberg Ensemble, the Ensemble Contrechamps, the Ensemble Modern and the Ensemble intercontemporain, as well as appearing at renowned festivals such as the Ultraschall Festival Berlin, ManiFeste in Paris and the Klangspuren in Schwaz.
