Konstantin Semilakovs

Konstantin Semilakovs (*1984 in Riga) studied piano in Nuremberg and Paris, among others, with Wolfgang Manz and Michael Wladkowski. He is a professor of piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and winner of the International Piano Competition Porto. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has appeared internationally at renowned festivals and venues including the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Shanghai Concert Hall. A focus of his artistic research is synaesthesia in piano music; related projects have been presented in Vienna, Yale, Dubai and Linz.
