The Austrian mezzo-soprano Klaudia Tandl completed her master's degree in singing in 2016 and the master's degree in concert singing in 2019 with honors from the University of Art for Music and Performing Arts in Graz. As a graduate, she received an award for outstanding achievements from the University in 2019. The singer is passionate about the song. Together with the pianist Gisela Jöbstl she won the 3rd prize at both the International Art Song Competition in Stuttgart as well as at the III. International Schubert Competition. Cooperations with well-known ensembles such as the ensemble plus from Vorarlberg or the Kontrapunkte from Vienna mark another focus in the singer's oeuvre: contemporary music. In 2021 Klaudia Tandl released her first solo album Schubert´s Women together with the Irish pianist and conductor Niall Kinsella and the Austrian actress Gabriele Jacoby, at the international label GRAMOLA.
