The duo guts'n'faders (Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka, cb and Peter Venus, electronics) is active since 2013, playing and creating music for doublebass and electronics. Both parts are treated as equal instruments, creating spatial sceneries that place the electronic sound in its spatial and gestural qualities amongst the sound and performativity of the big string instrument, which in turn can transform into a quasi-electronic synthesizer. The duo creates improvisations as well as installative settings and frequently collaborates with composers.
