Gregor Kokorz is a music historian who received his PhD in musicology from the University of Graz. His interdisciplinary research focuses on music history, ethnomusicology, and systematic musicology. His current work revolves around two main projects: the history of listening and cultural changes in the perception of music and cultural transfer, music and identity in Central Europe. In 2012 he has been invited to the University of Chicago as a Mellon Visiting Scholar.
