Eva Ursprung lives and works as a free-lance artist and curator in Graz. Using video, photography and sound (saxophone, bass, electronic) she is active in many fields of art, for instance, performances, installations, objects, and art in public, social and electronic spaces. As a musician she performs solo and in groups including Lonesome Hot Dudes, Notorious Noise Brigade, GIASO (Great International Audio Streaming Orchestra), and rosi lebt (concerts and recordings). She created the sound design for the animated film Gugug by Sabine Groschup and won the visual arts promotion award from the city of Graz in 1997. Eva Ursprung has been invited as artist in residence all over the world and has worked in Fujino, Nantes, Stadtwerkstatt Linz, Flux Factory, New York, and the ARoS Museum, Aarhus, among others.
