Cited as “subtle and inventive” by the New York Times, and highlighted in Symphony Magazine, Erin Gee’s compositions have been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Radcliffe Fellowship, the 2008 Rome Prize, the Teatro Minimo Prize, the Rostrum of Composers Award, and the Gianni Bergamo Prize. She has been premiered at the Zurich Opera House with her opera SLEEP, by the Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Klangforum Wien, and Ensemble Recherche. Her first CD Mouthpieces was released on the col legno label in January 2014.
