equalizent offers deaf people barrier-free training and advice in sign language (ÖGS) to improve their chances on the job market. The aim is to achieve equal opportunities and greater visibility for deaf people. equalizent is bilingual (German and ÖGS) and also offers sign language courses for hearing people. Founded in 2004, it now employs around 60 people (50% deaf). The HANDS UP exhibition was founded in 2018 to bring deafness and sign language to life and help raise awareness.
