denovaire (alias Timo Kaufmann) was born in Seeheim (DE) in 1978 and has worked on multimedia CDs, Internet applications, music for computer games, advertising jingles, sound installations etc. in the Graz sound studio Perfect Sound since 1999. He began his composition studies with Gerd Kühr and G. F. Haas at the University of the Arts, Graz (KUG) in 2002 and formed the Indian fusion project Dancing Shiva in the same year. In the summer of 2003 he studied Indian music, particularly the esraj (Indian harp), with Ustad Arshad Chouwdry in Delhi. His compositions have been performed by diverse ensembles at Minoritensaal, IEM/Cube, Forum Stadtpark, Museum der Wahrnehmung in Graz, and the Darmstadt Summer Course.
