Cordula Bürgi

The Swiss conductor Cordula Bürgi studied violin in Lucerne and conducting and singing in Basel. She became involved in youth orchestras early on and developed a passion for old and new music. She has directed the Basel Girls' Choir since 2008 and has worked on numerous productions, including at the Basel Theatre, the Berlin State Opera and the SWR Vokalensemble. In 2016, she founded the CANTANDO ADMONT ensemble, which quickly established itself throughout Europe. It has performed at renowned festivals such as Wien Modern, Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival and in international opera houses. Bürgi regularly works with ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, PHACE and KNM Berlin.
