Cantando Admont

Cantando Admont was founded under the direction of Cordula Bürgi with the aim of injecting new vitality into contemporary vocal music whilst also reviving the repertoire from the Middle Ages to the early Baroque period. The ensemble combines interpretative precision with tonal nuance and regards historical practice as the foundation for contemporary creativity. Over the past ten years, it has established a distinctive presence through its own concert series in Graz and Vienna, as well as through international guest performances. Collaborations with ensembles such as Klangforum Wien and PHACE, as well as regular commissions – including close collaboration with Beat Furrer – define its profile. Today, Cantando Admont ranks among the leading voices on the international vocal scene.
