Aware of the need to give new impetus to the contemporary creation of vocal music and wishing to once again delve deep into the rich repertoire of Medieval, Renaissance and Early Baroque music, the ensemble Cantando Admont was founded by committed vocalists under the direction of Cordula Bürgi. With enthusiasm and great commitment, the ensemble is dedicated to reviving the richness of the historical vocal heritage in contemporary music. The Graz-based ensemble firmly believes that contemporary creation can only be freed from the restrictions of specialisation through a profound examination of the repertoire of the past.
