Annette Schmucki
Annette Schmucki (*1968, Zürich) is a composer who works with language as music. She creates pieces for ensembles, sound installations, radio plays, operas and performances. After studying with Cornelius Schwehr and Mathias Spahlinger, she became active in various collectives, including blablabor, band, die sieben schweinsschwestern and kotombola. Her work has been premiered at renowned festivals and received multiple awards, including the Swiss Music Prize (2015). The film hagel und haut (2010) offers a portrait of her artistic practice. Schmucki is a member of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, she lives in Cormoret and on the road.
