Anna Korsun (UA), born 1986 in Donetsk, Ukraine, studied composition in Kiev and in Munich with Prof Moritz Eggert. She specialises in acoustic sound sources, with a particular interest in the voice. In addition to purely musical works, she also collaborates with artists from the fields of theatre, dance, film, visual arts and literature. Her works are performed internationally in concerts and at festivals such as the ECLAT Festival Neue Musik, the Darmstadt Summer Courses, the ISCM and the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik. Her compositions have already been performed by the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, the SWR Vokalensemble, Ensemble Mosaik, ascolta, Ensemble Modern, AskoSchoenberg, Camerata Silesia and Silbersee. She has received scholarships from the Villa Massimo in Rome, the Goethe Institute in Canada, the Akademie Schloss Solitude, the Villa Concordia in Bamberg and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
