We are pleased to announce the call for entries for Europe's seventh student 3D audio production competition. The vdt - Association of German Sound Engineers will host the competition in cooperation with IEM Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics at the University of Arts Graz.
The finalists will be announced around the Tonmeistertagung in Düsseldorf (8-11. 11. 2023) live on site and via internet livestream. All audio works can be experienced via on-demand browser playback with head tracking (Cat3DA).
ORF musikprotokoll will organize a public preview of the finalists of category 1 on 5.10.2023 at Dom im Berg, Graz. Radio Österreich 1 will present the winners in a special broadcasting show.
Open Call
We encourage all students working with Spatial Music, Spatial Recording or interested in 3D Audio to participate in the Seventh Student 3D Audio Production Competition. For reference to the previous event, see 3D Audio Competition 2022
The competition 2023 has three categories:
- Contemporary / Computer music (11min)
- Audio drama / Documentary / Soundscapes (4min)
- Music recording / Studio production (4min)
