Ofir Klemperer

Ofir Klemperer (*1982, Israel) is a composer, improviser, singer/songwriter, and producer. Leaning heavily on the analogue synthesizer the Korg MS-20, Klemperer’s music is melodic in its core, and through orchestration of classical instruments along with punk-rock and electronics, he applies to his melodies an experimental approach and Noise. While residing in Cincinnati Ohio (2013-2016) Klemperer refined his aesthetics through mashing together key elements such as instrumentalists from different musical backgrounds, audience participation, pre-composed material, conducted improvisation, and performance of original songs. Klemperer carries a history of forming his own strange ensembles to perform his music. He is currently located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he formed his largest, and wildest ensemble to date – the Atlanta Improvisers Orchestra. Klemper wrote for renowned ensembles and his music has been performed internationally.
