Marko Nikodijević, born in Subotica (SRB) in 1980, is a composer and electronic artist. He studied composition with Srdjan Hofman in Belgrade and continued his studies with Marco Stroppa in Stuttgart. His honours include the Prize of the 9th International Young Composers Meeting Apeldoorn, Honorable Mention Gaudeamus Music Week, and the Franz Liszt Scholarship. Deeply influenced by techno, his works are centred around the use of digital technology. In his compositions Nikodijević uses approaches from mathematics and spectral music and combines traditional instruments with digitally generated sounds. He currently lives in Germany.
