Hassan Zanjirani Farahani
Hassan Zanjirani Farahani was born in Iran in 1987 and is a composer, sound designer, performer and media artist. He studied piano, trumpet and clarinet in Tehran and worked as a piano teacher before moving to Austria, where he studied composition, electronic music and media technology in Vienna and Linz with Andreas Weixler and Carola Bauckholt. He also attended numerous master classes and workshops with notable composers, including Beat Furrer, Tristan Murail, David Berezan, and John Chowning. His compositions are stylistically variable, most of them, however, are electroacoustic pieces for ensemble and live electronics.
